No visit to Ambergris Caye is complete without snorkeling stunning Mexico Rocks.

The newest marine reserve in Belize, Mexico Rocks is a rare coral patch made up of boulder-like coral formations, perfect for fish hiding out from large predators. It is protected by reef systems further out, making the sea beautifully calm. Because the water is very shallow, dropping down to a maximum depth of 12 feet, it is the perfect place for beginner snorkelers to explore.

Due to the shallow, protected waters, Mexico Rocks are teeming with life. You may spot sea creatures such as sea turtles, sharks, rays, juvenile fish, eels, and an abundance of different coral species.
