We’re really happy to see that getting here is getting cheaper all the time; and now there is an airline looking to fly down here that could be a real game changer.
This past week, Southwest Airlines (well known for launching an era of affordability in air travel) applied to the U.S. Department of Transportation requesting approval to serve six destinations in Latin America, including Belize City.
These flights out of Houston, TX, will be made possible by a new $156 million concourse, currently under construction at the airport.
While the first flight is some months away, you can bet Southwest will maintain its reputation as the largest low-cost carrier in the United States.
We will be sure to keep you posted on any news we hear, so that you’re able to speed up your plans to come to Belize and Captain Morgan’s Retreat.
In the meantime, here’s their website.
