The mysterious and ancient Lamanai Mayan ruins are located in the Orange Walk District of Belize.

Begin your day with a continental breakfast as you make your way to Lamanai, ride a boat to Belize City, then board a bus that will take you to Tower Hill in Orange Walk District.

From there you’ll embark on a boat cruise through the Rio Nuevo (New River) where you’ll take in exotic flora and fauna including a wide variety of birds, potentially crocodiles, monkeys, turtles, river otters, and much more, all living in their natural habitat.

Upon arrival at the Lamanai ruins, your tour guide will navigate you through the jungle trails, majestically perched on the water’s edge. Your guide will also explain the fascinating and haunting history of the ruins and answer any questions you may have. At noon, you will be served delicious local cuisine for lunch. Finally at the end of your expedition, you’ll head back to San Pedro realizing what a truly once-in-a-lifetime trip you’ve just had. This is certainly one of our most popular Mayan ruins tours in Belize. Highly recommended!
